From all of us at Deverell Hall, to all of you, we hope you had a lovely Christmas and we would like to wish you the very best for 2024. Our community hall in Purbrook has been here for over 100 years, and from those early beginnings to now, a team of dedicated volunteers have built on and developed the hall into a vibrant community building. We cater for so many local groups and hirers, and provide weekend bookings for a lot of casual hirers looking for affordable children party venues to hire.

2023 has been an incredible year of continued growth and development at Deverell Hall in Purbrook. That is largely due to the support of all the hirers and groups who have regular bookings with us. Also, we have a great team of people working hard in maintaining the hall, being diligent in their professional abilities to make sure hirers get the best from the facilities.

On behalf of the Deverell Hall Trustees, the Deverell Hall Management Committee, we would like to say a BIG THANK YOU and wish you all a very Happy New Year for 2024.

During the initial re-opening in 2021, the Government Guidance was for venues to run at 50% capacity. Although these rules have now changed, we have put the following policies in place for each part of the hall is as follows:

Covid-19 SECURE Policy in place - Main Hall Maximum 90 persons at any one event.
Covid-19 SECURE Policy in place - Upstairs Conference Room Maximum 25 persons at any one event.

Bearing in mind therefore the overall normal capacity of both areas would equal 150 persons, the hall should be able to function at a base level of 100 people per any one event in the building.

Yes groups can still use the kitchen and toilet facilities as normal. Each area has hand sanitisers, hand soaps, paper towels. We ask that groups do their best to maintain control of how many people are in one area at any given time.

The UK Government have announced that Face Masks are no longer mandatory. It is up to you as an individual if you would like to still wear a face covering.

The Test, Trace and Isolate system has been stopped for now. You do not have to check in, and all previous records have been destroyed.
