2024 UK Public Holidays & Projected Bookings

Deverell Hall is now starting to populate the bookings diary for the year 2024. All REGULAR HALL HIRERS will be entered onto the diary in the coming weeks, and as with all regular hirers, their normal bookings roll over from one year to another.

After the dates for all groups have been entered online, we then make sure that all groups check their dates, and confirm they are correct.

Deverell Hall has two distinct areas of hire - There is the MAIN HALL and the Upstairs Meeting Room. If you would like to make a bookings enquiry, you are most welcome to contact us. Please complete the booking enquiry page.

The following dates are UK Public Bank Holidays, or dates when the hall will be closed for bookings in 2024. They are as follows:

MONDAY 1ST JANUARY 2024: NEW YEARS DAY - HALL CLOSED TODAY - NO BOOKINGS ARE AVAILABLE;
FRIDAY 29TH MARCH 2024: GOOD FRIDAY - HALL CLOSED TODAY - NO BOOKINGS ARE AVAILABLE;
SUNDAY 31ST MARCH 2024: EASTER SUNDAY - OPEN AT DISCRETION;
MONDAY 1ST APRIL 2024: EASTER MONDAY - HALL CLOSED TODAY - NO BOOKINGS ARE AVAILABLE;
MONDAY 6TH MAY 2024: EARLY MAY BANK HOLIDAY - HALL CLOSED TODAY - NO BOOKINGS ARE AVAILABLE;
MONDAY 27TH MAY 2024: SPRING BANK HOLIDAY - HALL CLOSED TODAY - NO BOOKINGS ARE AVAILABLE;
MONDAY 26TH AUGUST 2024: SUMMER BANK HOLIDAY - HALL CLOSED TODAY - NO BOOKINGS ARE AVAILABLE;
TUESDAY 24TH DECEMBER 2024: CHRISTMAS EVE - HALL CLOSED TODAY - NO BOOKINGS ARE AVAILABLE;
WEDNESDAY 25TH DECEMBER 2024: CHRISTMAS DAY - HALL CLOSED TODAY - NO BOOKINGS ARE AVAILABLE;

During the initial re-opening in 2021, the Government Guidance was for venues to run at 50% capacity. Although these rules have now changed, we have put the following policies in place for each part of the hall is as follows:

Covid-19 SECURE Policy in place - Main Hall Maximum 90 persons at any one event.
Covid-19 SECURE Policy in place - Upstairs Conference Room Maximum 25 persons at any one event.

Bearing in mind therefore the overall normal capacity of both areas would equal 150 persons, the hall should be able to function at a base level of 100 people per any one event in the building.

Yes groups can still use the kitchen and toilet facilities as normal. Each area has hand sanitisers, hand soaps, paper towels. We ask that groups do their best to maintain control of how many people are in one area at any given time.

The UK Government have announced that Face Masks are no longer mandatory. It is up to you as an individual if you would like to still wear a face covering.

The Test, Trace and Isolate system has been stopped for now. You do not have to check in, and all previous records have been destroyed.
