2023 UK Public Holidays & Projected Bookings

The future looks bright and promising, despite the news that we watch every day. Yes 2023 will still prove to be a hard year for many of us, in very different ways. We seemed to have gone from a pandemic to a war, to earthquakes and cost of living crisis in almost a matter of minutes.

For many people 2023 is a year to look forward to and casual bookings at the hall seem to be increasing week by week. Our regular hirers are all back to normal, and parents looking to book up children's parties are on the increase.

The following dates are UK Public Bank Holidays, or dates when the hall will be closed for bookings. They are as follows:

SUNDAY 1ST JANUARY 2023: NEW YEARS DAY - HALL CLOSED TODAY - NO BOOKINGS ARE AVAILABLE;
FRIDAY 7TH APRIL 2023: GOOD FRIDAY - HALL CLOSED TODAY - NO BOOKINGS ARE AVAILABLE;
MONDAY 10TH APRIL 2023: EASTER MONDAY - HALL CLOSED TODAY - NO BOOKINGS ARE AVAILABLE;
MONDAY 1ST MAY 2023: EARLY MAY BANK HOLIDAY - HALL CLOSED TODAY - NO BOOKINGS ARE AVAILABLE;
MONDAY 29TH MAY 2023: SPRING BANK HOLIDAY - HALL CLOSED TODAY - NO BOOKINGS ARE AVAILABLE;
MONDAY 28TH AUGUST 2023: SUMMER BANK HOLIDAY - HALL CLOSED TODAY - NO BOOKINGS ARE AVAILABLE;
SUNDAY 24TH DECEMBER 2023: CHRISTMAS EVE - HALL CLOSED TODAY - NO BOOKINGS ARE AVAILABLE;
MONDAY 25TH DECEMBER 2023: CHRISTMAS DAY - HALL CLOSED TODAY - NO BOOKINGS ARE AVAILABLE;
TUESDAY 26TH DECEMBER 2023: BOXING DAY - HALL CLOSED TODAY - NO BOOKINGS ARE AVAILABLE;
SUNDAY 31ST DECEMBER 2023: NEW YEARS EVE - HALL CLOSED TODAY - NO BOOKINGS ARE AVAILABLE.

During the initial re-opening in 2021, the Government Guidance was for venues to run at 50% capacity. Although these rules have now changed, we have put the following policies in place for each part of the hall is as follows:

Covid-19 SECURE Policy in place - Main Hall Maximum 90 persons at any one event.
Covid-19 SECURE Policy in place - Upstairs Conference Room Maximum 25 persons at any one event.

Bearing in mind therefore the overall normal capacity of both areas would equal 150 persons, the hall should be able to function at a base level of 100 people per any one event in the building.

Yes groups can still use the kitchen and toilet facilities as normal. Each area has hand sanitisers, hand soaps, paper towels. We ask that groups do their best to maintain control of how many people are in one area at any given time.

The UK Government have announced that Face Masks are no longer mandatory. It is up to you as an individual if you would like to still wear a face covering.

The Test, Trace and Isolate system has been stopped for now. You do not have to check in, and all previous records have been destroyed.
