Without any doubt, 2020 and most of 2021 has proved difficult for so many people, let alone business. Deverell Hall has continued to make sure the hall is Covid Secure and safe for all our hall hirers. Slowly but surely, and between us all, we have got through these difficult times, and now look forward to 2022.

Planning for 2022 bookings is well under way now, and all regular hirers will be contacted in the coming weeks to verify their commitment to next years bookings. For the benefit of the community and the hall, we need to make sure we have definite (and REGULAR) bookings from all groups. Your personal and/or groups commitment will help guarantee the future success of the hall and its facilities for years ahead to come. All regular groups should receive this information and details via an email shortly.

The following dates are UK Public Bank Holidays, or dates when the hall will be closed for bookings. They are as follows:

SATURDAY 1ST JANUARY 2022: NEW YEARS DAY - HALL CLOSED TODAY - NO BOOKINGS ARE AVAILABLE;
MONDAY 3RD JANUARY 2022: (SUBSITUTE DAY) NEW YEARS DAY - HALL CLOSED TODAY - NO BOOKINGS ARE AVAILABLE;
FRIDAY 15TH APRIL 2022: GOOD FRIDAY - HALL CLOSED TODAY - NO BOOKINGS ARE AVAILABLE;
MONDAY 18TH APRIL 2022: EASTER MONDAY - HALL CLOSED TODAY - NO BOOKINGS ARE AVAILABLE;
MONDAY 2ND MAY 2022: EARLY MAY BANK HOLIDAY - HALL CLOSED TODAY - NO BOOKINGS ARE AVAILABLE;
THURSDAY 2ND JUNE 2022: SPRING BANK HOLIDAY - HALL CLOSED TODAY - NO BOOKINGS ARE AVAILABLE;
FRIDAY 3RD JUNE 2022: PLATINUM JUBILEE BANK HOLIDAY - HALL CLOSED TODAY - NO BOOKINGS ARE AVAILABLE;
MONDAY 29TH AUGUST 2022: SUMMER BANK HOLIDAY - HALL CLOSED TODAY - NO BOOKINGS ARE AVAILABLE;
SATURDAY 24TH DECEMBER 2022: CHRISTMAS EVE - HALL CLOSED TODAY - NO BOOKINGS ARE AVAILABLE;

During the initial re-opening in 2021, the Government Guidance was for venues to run at 50% capacity. Although these rules have now changed, we have put the following policies in place for each part of the hall is as follows:

Covid-19 SECURE Policy in place - Main Hall Maximum 90 persons at any one event.
Covid-19 SECURE Policy in place - Upstairs Conference Room Maximum 25 persons at any one event.

Bearing in mind therefore the overall normal capacity of both areas would equal 150 persons, the hall should be able to function at a base level of 100 people per any one event in the building.

Yes groups can still use the kitchen and toilet facilities as normal. Each area has hand sanitisers, hand soaps, paper towels. We ask that groups do their best to maintain control of how many people are in one area at any given time.

The UK Government have announced that Face Masks are no longer mandatory. It is up to you as an individual if you would like to still wear a face covering.

The Test, Trace and Isolate system has been stopped for now. You do not have to check in, and all previous records have been destroyed.
