What is a risk assessment?

Overall, a risk assessment is a term used to describe the overall process or methods involved where a business, or in this case a Community Hall, examine in detail a workplace to identify those things, situations, processes, etc. that may cause harm, particularly to people. After identification is made, you analyze and evaluate how likely and severe the risk is. When this determination is made, you can next, decide what measures should be in place to effectively eliminate or control the harm from happening.

Identify hazards and risk factors that have the potential to cause harm (hazard identification);
Analyze and evaluate the risk associated with that hazard (risk analysis, and risk evaluation);
Determine appropriate ways to eliminate the hazard, or control the risk when the hazard cannot be eliminated (risk control);

RISK ASSESSMENT: FIRE & GENERAL

We are always busy which is great. We have over 20 regular hirer groups who use the facilities each week and at weekends. If you are looking for availability for casual hire, then we advise you to contact us early.

There may be various reasons why we could not help you with your booking enquiry. We do our best to help most users of the hall, but perhaps there was a prior booking for the date/time you wanted. Or the type of request was not available at our hall. We will advise you of other places to try if we cannot help.

The rear car park can hold up to about 20 cars, depending on how you park. The front car park (the gravel area at the front of the building) will hold about 4 to 6 cars. There is NO PARKING on Campbell Crescent.

Yes we have wi-fi access, with wired access points available in some parts of the building. Hirers can use either 2G or 5G fibre optics with speeds up to 400MB.
