Covid 19 - What is happening?

IMPORTANT -
We are facing unprecedented times ahead for most of us, and with the fast changing information about Coronavirus (COVID-19), either as self-employed business owners, limited companies, shops, airlines, or whatever we may do as work, the Covid-19 virus inevitably puts the working man or woman on the brink of catastrophe. Likewise Deverell Hall is no exception.

It may be the case Deverell Hall need to review the on-going situation, and consider requesting that groups make contributions towards maintaining the hall as we cannot claim on any insurance to cover "loss of revenue".

We will do our best to help, but if this problem were to continue long-term, then we need to react and deal with it in a manner that preserves the hall, and our payment obligations to contractors, services and miscellaneous normal expenses incurred by the hall over the coming months.
Please know that we’re here to help.

29th May 2020 - 16.00GMT Latest News - Phased re-opening Plan

We are in the early stages of putting preparations in place for a phased re-opening of Deverell Hall. For the hall to re-open safely, we have looked at various risks, potential issues, and mitigating circumstances in order to arrive at what we believe to be a thorough proactive draft risk assessment (in addition to our current risk assessment documents).

Until at least 15th June 2020 Deverell Hall will be closed for any bookings and not open to the public before that date.

Our initial plans (in line with Government Policy for schools re-opening 1st June 2020) are to have a provisional phased re-opening of the hall as follows -

15th June 2020 (MONDAY)- Deverell Hall Preschool plans to re-open. This allows the Preschool 2 weeks from 1st June (the expected Government decision date to open schools and educational settings), to allow time and make sure they are well placed to offer children and staff confidence in safety;
3rd August 2020 (MONDAY) onwards - Pending Government approval, the hall will then re-open for ALL OTHER REGULAR GROUPS, and start looking at getting back to a "new normality";
7th September 2020 (MONDAY) onwards - Casual Hirers will then be considered for possible bookings inline with current guidelines at that time.
ALL THE ABOVE is pending Government Guidelines and Policy Announcements.

As the UK (and the world for that matter) continues to battle the Covid-19 pandemic we are acutely aware of Government information about how we ALL can play our part in stemming the virus spread. This understandably will have a huge knock-on effect not only for groups and hirers at Deverell Hall, but also for the hall itself. We will keep you updated.
