As we receive updates and information about Deverell Hall, we will publish it to this page. We ask that all groups (if they have anything special they would like to mention) to contact us through the normal channels and we can add your item(s) here. Please note however that we reserve the right not to add items and listings that in our opinion constitute more of a promotional advertisement, or may require considerable time spent on adjusting image files, or lengthy documentation. Located in Purbrook, Deverell Hall is one of the few remaining halls left in the local community. Deverell Hall features many refurbishments due largely to a National Lottery Grant and Local Council Funding, which makes it a hugely popular community hall for bookings and activities. We have an image slideshow which shows images of the outside and inside of the hall, and we will be adding a video sometime in the future for users who are not already familiar with the hall layout.
Purbrook & Widley Rowans Support Group
The Purbrook & Widley Rowans Support Group are just one of many groups in Hampshire who raise money for the Rowans Hospice in Purbrook by holding fund raising events i.e. Coffee Mornings, Seasonal Sales, Quiz nights, concerts etc, we are a small band of many volunteers who really rely on our local communities for support to raise as much as we can so the hospice are able to support and care for so many people in our area.
All money we raise go to the Rowans Hospice Purbrook who care for terminally ill patients.
Our next event in aid of the Rowans Hospice is a fund raising event. It is being held by the Purbrook & Widley Rowans Support Group at Deverell Hall London Road Purbrook on Saturday 25th September from 8.00am to 1.00pm.

Deverell Hall Closure 16th August 2010
IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
The Main Hall area of Deverell Hall will be closed from Monday 16th August up to and including Sunday 29th August 2010, for a refurbishment of the Main Hall itself. All internal walls are being replastered, painted and decorated, and new curtains will be purchased for the hall area. This closure will only affect any groups that usually meet in the Main Hall area, and we do apologise that the hall will need to be closed for these 2 weeks. However, the Upstairs Room bookings are NOT affected, and if any users would like to hire the Upstairs Room during this period, please let us know.
