Committee Meetings at Deverell Hall

Dates and times

The next Committee Meeting will be held on:
Tuesday 21st September 2010 at 4.30pm in the Upstairs Meeting Room.

Why is it important to try to attend these meetings?

We encourage all regular hall users to try to attend these meetings, which generally happen about every 8 weeks. The purpose of the meetings are to allow regular hall users to find out what is going on at Deverell Hall, and what plans may be coming up in the future. The Committee Meeting normally lasts about 40 to 50 minutes approximately, and it gives you the opportunity of raising any points of concern, or discussing any matters that you feel should be looked at. We warmly encourage the hall users to attend these meetings, because by doing so, your voice can be heard, and this helps us shape the hall, its facilities and structure to aid and benefit not only each user, but the whole community around it.

Recent Discussions

Tuesday 18th May 2010

At the previous Committee Meeting, just some of the following topics and items were discussed.

Post
Quite often we have found that post has been sent to another address because Deverell Hall had no post box at the building. This obviously was causing some distress to the person concerned, and although the various groups have been asked to ensure that any post should be addressed to themselves, rather than the hall, this was not happening. The decision was therefore taken to fix and secure a mail box at the hall, and now the postal services have been advised that there is a post box at the hall.

Notice Boards in the hallway
The Deverell Hall PreSchool Manager Mrs Jane Robinson, requested if it was possible to have another notice board fitted in the downstairs lobby entrance so they could display the paperwork and leaflets for parents. The notice board has been fitted and their display creates a great visual impact for parents and children alike.
